Terms of Service

Grader is an AI tool. You upload study material you already have, such as notes, PDFs, slides, images or lecture recordings, and an AI model reads it and produces practice questions, flashcards and summaries from it. When you write an answer, the same AI marks it.

That means the material you upload is sent to an AI provider so it can be processed. We use Google's Gemini API for this. Nothing you upload is used to train AI models, and our privacy policy sets out exactly what is sent where.

Grader is a study aid. It is not a substitute for your course, your teachers, or your own judgement about what to study.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they accept these terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for your account and for anything done with it. Use a password you do not use elsewhere, and tell us if you think someone else has access.

You own what you upload. Uploading it does not give us ownership of it. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you: generating questions from it, marking your answers, and showing it back to you.

If you share a set with someone, or with a group, you are choosing to show it to them. Do not share material you do not have the right to share.

We do not sell your material, and we do not use it to train AI models.

• Material you do not have the right to use.
• Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
• Other people's personal information, unless you have their permission.
• Exam papers or assessment material you are not permitted to hold.

We may remove material and suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

Questions, answers, summaries and marking are produced by an AI model from the material you provide. It can be wrong. It can misread a diagram, miss context, or mark an answer unfairly. Check anything that matters against your own material before you rely on it, and never treat a Grader mark as a prediction of what you will be awarded.

The free plan has limits on how many materials and folders you can keep, how many times you can regenerate a set, and how many groups you can own. Pro removes those limits and adds priority generation and longer lecture recordings.

Pro is a monthly subscription that renews until you cancel. Pricing and how to cancel are on the pricing page, and refunds are covered in our refund policy.

We may change prices. If we do, we will tell you before it affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept the new price.

You can stop using Grader at any time. Cancelling Pro keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing you have made is deleted when you drop back to the free plan.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law.

We work to keep Grader running, but we do not promise it will always be available, or that generation will always succeed. Some of it depends on services we do not control.

To the extent the law allows, Grader is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including exam results, lost marks, or lost study time. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will let you know by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Grader after that means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
