Grader runs in your browser, on your phone or laptop. Nothing to install.

1. 1Create an account with your email, or continue with Google.
2. 2Tell us your school, course, and level so your questions match what you study.
3. 3Pick your study language. The app and everything Grader generates use it.

Everything starts with a material: the thing you want to study. There are four ways to add one, all from the box on your Home screen.

1. 1Upload files: tap the attach button and pick one or more PDFs or photos of your notes. Several files become one material.
2. 2Paste text: type or paste anything into the box and send it.
3. 3Record a lecture: tap the microphone and record up to 45 minutes. You can minimize it and keep using the app while it records.
4. 4Use a video: tap the link button and paste a YouTube link.

Give the material a clear title and drop it into a folder. Future you will be grateful.

Once your material is in, tell Grader what to make from it.

1. 1Pick one or more formats: multiple choice, flashcards, true or false, fill in the gap, essay, summary, or podcast.
2. 2For each format, choose how many items and the difficulty.
3. 3Generate. Each format becomes its own set on the material's page, and you can add more formats later.

Open a material and switch between its sets with the chips across the top.

1. 1Multiple choice and true or false mark themselves the moment you answer, and you get a score at the end.
2. 2Fill in the gap and essay answers are typed. Grader marks them and shows the model answer with the key points you missed.
3. 3Flashcards flip to reveal the answer. Summaries and podcasts are for reading and listening when you're not in question mode.

The first time you generate practice from a material, Grader also writes a full study note from it: headings, explanations, the lot. It's yours to edit like any document, and every change saves automatically. Your edits are never overwritten.

Every material you add lives in your Library, organised into folders.

1. 1Create folders for your courses and move materials between them.
2. 2Pin the materials you're actively studying so they stay on top.
3. 3Rename or delete a material from its menu. Deleting removes its sets and files too.

Any material can be shared with a link.

1. 1Open a material and tap Share to get its link. Questions are always included; you choose whether to also include the source and your Study Note.
2. 2Anyone with the link can view the set free, no account needed.
3. 3If they want to practice it, one tap saves a copy into their own Grader.

Groups turn practice into a competition with your classmates.

1. 1Create a group and invite people with the link or the 6-character code.
2. 2Share a material into the group. Members answer the questions in place.
3. 3Everyone's first score on each set goes on the leaderboard. Re-practising doesn't change your rank, so the first attempt is the one that counts.

Your profile is where Grader gets personal.

1. 1Upload a profile photo, or keep the one from your Google account.
2. 2Set a display name and what you want Grader to call you.
3. 3Change your study language at any time. The whole app follows it.
4. 4Switch between light and dark themes, or follow your device.
